Medication aide applicants and certificate holders: Click here for information about certification and recertification requirements and procedures.​

Initial program application and instructions. Agencies that want to establish a medication aide training program should first read the Rules for Medication Aides.

The Initial Program Application should be submitted no fewer than 30 days in advance of the Medication Aide Advisory Committee (MAAC) meeting. Applications submitted fewer than 30 days in advance of the meeting may not allow the MAAC sufficient time to complete a thorough review and may result in a delay until the next meeting. The meeting schedule may be found on the home page of the NMBON website. The Initial Program Application Checklist is a guide for required documents and the approval process.

Program renewal application and instructions. Agency site visits will be scheduled by the Nurse Surveyor 2-3 months before the agency program expiration date. The CMA Program Checklist is a tool to assist the agency prepare for the site visit.

NURSE EDUCATOR INFORMATION

2021 Nurse Educator Orientation Schedule.​ Approved Nurse Educators for Medication Aide Programs are required to attend a Nurse Educator Orientation. Facility preceptors and administrators are also welcome to attend. The orientation will be conducted via Zoom video conference. Click here to register.
